Outreach and Service
Reaching out in the name of Christ
“And the king will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you,
just as you did it for one of the least of these
who are members of my family, you did it for me.’” (Matthew 25:40)
It is in faithfulness to the teachings of Jesus that we strive to feed the hungry,
give the cup of cold water to the thirsty, clothe the naked, care for the sick, and visit the prisoner.
Such ministry takes many forms for us here at Mill Creek Church.
Some of the ways we strive to be faithful are:
Outreach Projects
Heifer Project International
Camp Brethren Woods
Shenandoah District Annual Disaster Response Auction
Rebuilding Together
Verona Food Bank
Grottoes Area Food Pantry
Ghana School Project
Disaster Response trips
Habitat for Humanity
Mennonite Brethren Heritage Center
East Rockingham Compassion Fund
Weekday Religious Education
Bridgewater Home
Bridgewater College
Young Life
Disaster Response
Many Mill Creek Church members have worked at numerous rebuilding sites following weather-related disasters, putting into action a quote from one of our members, “helping in time of disaster is putting feet washing into action.”
Service Projects
Adult Sunday school classes and junior and senior high groups participate in individual service projects
Shenandoah District (Church of the Brethren)
Mill Creek is one of one hundred churches that make up the Shenandoah District, and our church participates in numerous projects with them organized by the District Offices.
