Ministries

Worship

The goal of worship at Mill Creek is to gather as we bring all glory, honor, and praise to God. Services are a mix of both traditional and contemporary elements including: the reading of the Word and proclamation of the Gospel, singing hymns and sogs of praise, corporate and personal prayer, stewardship opportunities, multi-generation teaching and fellowship. Please view the current Sunday bulletin and previous services on our Media page, and join us in-person or live on Facebook for Worship.

Mill Creek regularly incorporates special worship experiences and elements including Holy Communion, Baptism, Child Consecration, Youth-led worship, Outdoor worship, Christmas Eve worship, and an Easter service that includes a "living cross."

Music

Music is a major focus in the worship life at Mill Creek.

This multigenerational ministry utilizes member's gifts in exciting and ever-changing ways to praise God and edify the congregation. Traditional elements include hymns accompanied by pipe organ and/or piano, chancel choir, handbell choir as well as other special music offerings. The Praise Team is composed of members of all ages. Vocalists are accompanied by an eclectic group of instrumentalists who together lead the congregation in a rage of music from classic gospel to modern Contemporary Christian favorites. Mill Creek has choirs for both children and adults who present in worship monthly from September through May.

Outreach & Service

It is in faithfulness to the teachings of Jesus that we strive to feed the hungry, give the cup of cold water to the thirsty, clothe the naked, care for the sick, and visit the prisoner.
Such ministry takes many forms for us here at Mill Creek Church.
Some of the ways we strive to be faithful are: Heifer Project International, Camp Brethren Woods, Shenandoah District Annual Disaster, Response Auction, Rebuilding Together, Verona Food Bank, Grottoes Area Food Pantry, Ghana School Project, Disaster Response trips, Habitat for Humanity, Mennonite Brethren Heritage Center, East Rockingham Compassion Fund, Weekday Religious Education, Bridgewater Home, Bridgewater College, Young Life
